Dear Friend,
Welcome to Flip The Box! I’m so glad you’re here. This movement was born from my 50 States Project, a journey that took me across the country, sharing meals with strangers in every state. What I discovered along the way was something deeply human: food isn’t just nourishment—it’s an invitation to connect, a symbol of belonging, and a reminder that, despite our differences, we all share a need for community.
I began The Flip The Box movement out of my own home following the 50 States Project. It started with small, intimate gatherings, where I invited three people—sometimes close friends, sometimes people I’d only known through social media—who didn’t know each other. The magic happened around the table, where stories were shared, laughter filled the air, and unexpected connections were made.
Now, this movement is growing, and I’d love for you to be part of it. When we flip the box, we challenge old narratives, create space for real conversations, and build community in ways that are deeply meaningful. Whether it’s hosting a meal, joining a conversation, or simply embracing the idea that everyone deserves a seat at the table, your presence matters.
By joining this space, you’re stepping into a community that believes in listening over arguing, in finding common ground, and in celebrating our differences as strengths. Here, we share stories, support one another, and explore how we can bring more connection into our own lives.
The 50 States Project showed me that connection isn’t about where we come from—it’s about how we show up for each other. Let’s keep that momentum going.

Let’s build tables, not walls. Let’s create spaces where everyone belongs. And most importantly, let’s flip the box—together.
When you flip the box, you flip the possibilities.
With hope, love, and community,
